Dr. Tamre Teka Delkero (BA in Social work, Addis Ababa University, Ph.D. in Rural Economics Academy of Social Sciences Bulgaria). has specialized in a wide range of development and humanitarian areas that include: Rural Development, Networking, Fund Raising, Team Leadership, Food Security, Agricultural Policies and Gender. He has attended and participated in international conferences in different parts of Africa on strategy development and on change processes relevant to international NGOs. He has particular skills and knowledge in NGO management. Dr. Tamre has served as Country Director of reputed international NGOs (providing strategic leadership, and ensuring adherence to values and working principles of these organizations, as well as, forging principled partnership). He has extensive experience in research, project proposal development, resource mobilization, and organizing and moderating participatory workshops.
He has acquired particular experience of working in marginalized and conflict-ridden regions of Ethiopia. Dr. Tamre has more than 30 years’ experience as Sociology Department Head, Regional Representative at Ministry of Agriculture, General Manager at Fish Production & Marketing Enterprise, and Project Manager at Agency for Cooperation and Research in Development (ACORD), Country Director at Panos Ethiopia, and Country Director at Partner for Refugee Services (PRS). Currently, Dr. Tamre is a Free Lance Consultant and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Director InterAfrica Group-Ethiopia.
